The stand as catalogued of later, perhaps c.1900, manufacture. The globe re-varnished with some dirt trapped beneath. Usual dents, scratches and wear with slight loss of legibility in places, a drip of black paint in Pacific. Losses to horizon ring. The brass polished by current owners prior to consignment.
