In the chinoiserie taste, the round case held aloft by two male figures and surmounted by a third, their robes lacquered, gilt and set with mother of pearl in Japanese-style flowerhead patterns, on a later rectangular Japanese lacquer base atop ormolu bun-and-claw feet, the dial signed ENE LE NOIR A PARIS and the movement signed ETIENNE LE NOIR A PARIS
