Lot Essay

Made in the early 1980s, this is a really rare timepiece from Audemars Piguet. A similar example (one case number apart was sold at Christie’s Hong Kong in 2018).
Haute horology enthusiasts will appreciate the hand-engraved and skeletonised column wheel chronograph movement, a technical marvel and testimony to the brand’s watchmaking prowess.
The 18k pink gold case has a stepped bezel and round chronograph pushers. Attractive and rare, this is a real collectible timepiece for chronograph enthusiasts.

OVERALL CONDITION: Very good condition

CASE: Very good, the gold case shows signs of wear, but the proportions are still largely intact. The gold hallmarks are still visible under the case. Surface scratches visible around the lugs and bezel

DIAL: Nice, clean, and original

MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. The chronograph function is working. However, a service is recommended.
